The UK remains committed to Bahrain’s security and is ready to help secure the Strait of Hormuz if a negotiated settlement is reached, a top minister said on the sidelines of the International Institute for Strategic Studies Manama Dialogue yesterday.
Speaking to the GDN, UK Minister of State for Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan Stephen Doughty noted that the objective of his first visit to the kingdom is to highlight the UK’s long-term commitment to Bahrain’s stability, security and prosperity, especially in the face of the US-Iran conflict .
