The Industry and Commerce Ministry has launched a streamlined electronic service for registering national trademarks or service marks in a single category, as part of broader government efforts to re-engineer public services.
The upgraded service allows applicants to submit protection requests for single-category marks under the ‘Nice Classification’, covering both visible marks – such as words and logos – and invisible marks, including sound and olfactory identifiers .
