National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) chairman Ali Al Derazi said human trafficking is among the most serious human rights violations, underscoring the need to strengthen national and international efforts to prevent the crime, protect victims and hold perpetrators accountable in line with a human rights-based approach and the rule of law.In a statement issued on the occasion of the World Day against Trafficking in Persons, Mr Al Derazi said Bahrain has made tangible progress in establishing an integrated national framework to combat human trafficking through legislative development, stronger institutional frameworks and enhanced co-operation among national entities, in line with its international commitments and best practices .
