GCC secretary general Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi said the Joint Ministerial Meeting between the GCC and the US discussed numerous issues, foremost of which were the situation in the region, ways to enhance its security and stability, and de-escalation and mediation efforts.
The meeting, held in Manama, was chaired by Foreign Minister and President of the current session of the Ministerial Council Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, with the participation of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and in the presence of the Foreign Ministers of the GCC member states .
