FOOTBALL – Bahrain's senior men’s football national team continued their training programme in Tbilisi, Georgia yesterday, ahead of their international friendly match against the hosts tomorrow.
The Bahrainis put in some work under the supervision of Croatian head coach Dragan Talajic and his staff at the practice pitches of Mikheil Maski Stadium, where they will be playing their tune-up against the Georgians tomorrow at 9pm, Bahrain time.
The nationals are scheduled to step up their preparations today with training at the match venue.
Tomorrow’s exhibition will be the first of two friendlies in the coming week for Bahrain as they continue their European training camp in preparation for two major tournaments – the 27th Gulf Cup in September and October of this year, which they are entering as defending champions, and the AFC Asian Cup 2027, slated for January and February next year.
After tomorrow’s game, the nationals will travel to Antalya, Türkiye, where they will face off with their counterparts from Syria on Tuesday next week in their second friendly.
