The Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) announced the end of the fishing ban on shoor, safi, and andag fish in the territorial waters of Bahrain, effective Monday, June 1, following the conclusion of the ban period that began in early April as part of national efforts to protect and sustain marine resources.
The SCE affirmed the General Directorate of Marine Resources’ commitment to preserving biodiversity and regulating fishing activities in line with international environmental standards, which achieves a balance between the economic utilisation of marine resources and their sustainability .
