FOOTBALL – THE Bahrain Football Association (BFA) held a ceremony crowning the champions of the age-group competitions this past 2025-2026 football season in the kingdom.
The ceremony was held at the BFA indoor hall at its premises in Riffa, attended by officials from the BFA, the General Sports Authority, the participating clubs, and players.
Among those presenting the awards was BFA board member and age-group national teams committee chairman Shaikh Salman bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa and BFA board member and competitions committee chairman Nayef Al Majid.
Last March, the BFA announced the winners of the kingdom’s various junior and youth leagues, which were 70 per cent completed but cut short due to the unfortunate events that took place in the kingdom.
Among the title winners were Al Ahli in the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) U21 Football League, Muharraq in the U19 league, Manama in the U17 league, Al Khaldiya in the Khalid Bin Hamad Golden Generation League, and Hidd in Group A of the U14 league along with Al Najma in Group B of the same age-category.
The ceremony also honoured the promising young stars who won individual awards in the NBB U21 League, including Ahli’s Ali Tarada, who won the league’s top scorer trophy; East Riffa’s Abdullah Ahmed, who took the best goalkeeper award; and Najma’s Ali Hussain, who was selected as the league’s best player.
