HANDBALL – AL Dair powered to a hard-earned 32-30 victory over Tubli last night to kick off matchweek 16 in the 2025-26 Khalid Bin Hamad Bahrain Handball League.
The game was played at the Bahrain Handball Federation Arena in Um Al Hassam Sports Complex with no fans in attendance.
Dair built a commanding 21-13 lead at the break but needed to fend off a valiant second-half surge by their opponents to come away with the tight win.
With the result, Dair improved to 29 points to rise to fifth on the league standings with their seventh triumph in 15 tries. They handed Tubli their eighth defeat in 14 outings as they went to 25 points.
The 16th round of league action continues tonight and tomorrow at the same venue. This evening, Al Shabab take on Al Tadhamun at 9pm, to be followed at 10.30pm by defending champions and unbeaten table-toppers Al Najma facing bottom side Bahrain Club at 10.30pm.
Then, tomorrow, Al Ettihad face off with Barbar at 9pm, before Al Ettifaq take on Al Ahli at 10.30pm.
