An inmate who cursed at a prison guard in English and hurled a shoe at him, striking him in the face during a pill call, has been sentenced to five years in prison.
The court heard that the police officer was distributing medication to inmates and was asking the defendant for his name and CPR number when the latter launched the footwear assault .
