CYCLING – BAHRAIN’S Ahmed Naser narrowly missed out on a top 10 finish yesterday in the men’s road cycling individual time trial (ITT) at the 20th Asian Games. Naser was classified 13th amongst the 18-rider field at Shinshiro Cycling Road Course.
He completed the 32.1km course in 46 minutes 58.46 seconds – just over five-and-a-half minutes behind gold-medallist Alexey Lutsenko of Kazakhstan, who triumphed in 41:24.05.
Shunsuke Imamura of Japan bagged silver in 42:58.04, while Jambaljamts Sainbayar of Mongolia took bronze in 42:08.56.
