BASKETBALL – BAHRAIN Olympic Committee (BOC) vice-president and the kingdom’s delegation head in the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa crowned yesterday South Korea’s senior men’s basketball national team, who won the men’s five-on-five basketball title.
Shaikh Isa presented the gold medals to South Korea’s players during the podium ceremony, which followed their 67-57 victory over hosts Japan in their tournament final.
Iran came away with the bronze medals after beating China 79-70 in the game for third place.
