CYCLING – Team Bahrain Victorious rider Jakob Omrzel finished just outside the top 20 yesterday in the 18th stage of the 81st La Vuelta a Espana.
The young Slovenian completed the 32.1-kilometre individual time trial (ITT) in 21st – a minute and 37.39 seconds behind Stefan Kung of Tudor Pro Cycling Team, who won the leg in 35:22.82.
Omrzel held on to sixth place overall in the general classification with just three stages remaining in the elite men’s road race.
