An Egyptian court has sentenced a former judge to life in prison after he was convicted of fatally shooting his ex-wife.
According to court proceedings, the former judge shot his ex-wife in a busy tourist area filled with pedestrians in 6th of October City before fleeing the scene.
The public shooting followed prolonged legal disputes with his ex-wife over financial disagreements and custody of their daughters.
Giza Criminal Court found him guilty after determining that the crime was premeditated and that he had tracked her movements for several days, eventually following her from her home to carry out the shooting.
