Bahrain’s literary and cultural community was plunged into mourning today following the death of renowned poet, intellectual and folklore researcher Ali Abdullah Khalifa, widely regarded as one of the architects of the kingdom’s modern cultural renaissance.
Mr Khalifa, who passed away after a distinguished career spanning more than six decades, leaves behind an extraordinary legacy that shaped Bahrain’s literary identity and helped preserve the nation’s cultural memory for generations .
