TENNIS – Bahrain Tennis Academy (BTA) held its 22nd Annual Junior Awards Ceremony for 11-and-over players at Dilmun Club in Saar.
The ceremony was held to honour the most outstanding players of the 2025-26 season. Awards were presented in 14 categories.
Some of the categories included best forehand, best serve, and best sportsmanship.
Academy coaches short-listed five players for each award and then selected a winner after taking into account each player’s skill level and experience in the game.
Winners of the prestigious Player of the Year awards were Sayed Yousif in the 12-and-under category and Dylan Barrie in the 13-and-over.
Other category winners were Ali Al Alawi, Cian Wagstaff, Duaa Abid, Emily Cole, Frankie Mitchell, Khalid Algosaibi, Narein Deb, Thomas Cole, and Wiam Almusawi.
Dylan took top honours at the ceremony by achieving seven category nominations and claiming three awards.
He was closely followed by Cian with seven category nominations and two award wins.
The awards were presented by BTA director Dan Barrie.
“We’ve been pleased to see a large number of our older players continue their training despite the increasing pressures of academics,” said Barrie.
“We want to particularly acknowledge those that are still with us after starting in our Tennis for Tots classes many years ago.”
