Three defendants were sentenced to six years in prison each by the Lower Criminal Court for stealing gold bars worth more than BD800,000, while five others received jail terms ranging from six months to two years for concealing the stolen items.
The Public Prosecution said it received a report from the Capital Governorate Police Directorate’s Umm Al Hassam Police Station about the incident .
