CYCLING – Bahrain’s cycling national team will be taking part in the 11th edition of the Tour of Sharjah, which gets underway today.
The event is a five-stage race covering 503km in total.
The Bahrainis are amongst 162 cyclists representing 27 national teams and clubs from 18 countries taking part.
The kingdom’s representatives arrived in the Emirates with an administrative and technical team that includes technical director Axel Costa, cycling technicians Issa Ayoub and Salem Al Salem, and riders Ahmed Madan, Ahmed Nasser, Hussain Mohammed, Mahdi Hassan, Salman Hussain, and Sayed Ahmed Khalil.
Today’s opening leg covers 129.6km.
