Jordan's exports to the EU climbed 39.3 per cent in the first nine months of 2025, driven by stronger demand for clothing, fertilisers and chemical products, official data showed, reports Arab News.
Export values reached 436 million Jordanian dinars ($614.9m), compared to 313m dinars during the same period of 2024, with Italy emerging as the leading EU destination for Jordanian goods, the country’s news agency, Petra, reported, citing data from the Department of Statistics.
Jordan’s strengthening EU shipments mirror broader trade momentum, with total exports up 8.9pc in the first nine months of 2025 – driven by a 9.1pc rise in national exports and a 6.5pc increase in re-exports. Imports grew 7pc, widening the trade deficit by 5pc.
Mohammad Samadi, a member of the European Chamber of Commerce in Jordan, told Petra that the marked growth in exports reflects the improved competitiveness of Jordanian products and their ability to penetrate new European markets.
